The Three Pillars of
Remnant Life Church

A building or any structure is only as strong as the foundation on which it is
built. That is true for a new church as well.  Remnant Life Church is built on
three pillars out of which everything we do will grow.

Worship

Worship and praise music in the church today is many things.  It is honoring God as well as thanking and praising Him.  It is also a powerful weapon against Satan and God will bless, heal and strengthen those who worship Him with all their hearts.

In the book of 2 Chronicles we read of King Jehoshaphat taking the nation of Israel into battle and having the singers (worshippers) lead them onto the field.  There is power in the praise of God’s children and we want to be a
part of that every Sunday at Remnant Life Church.

The format of how we worship may change from Sunday to Sunday but the intent and focus never will.  When we can learn to praise and worship God even in the darkest of times we will begin to see Him work in our lives in ways that will astound us!

The Word

The Bible is a collection of 66 separate books that together proclaim a single theme – God’s love.  At RLC we believe that the Bible is just what it claims to be, the Word of God given to us in order for us to know His love, understand the great gift He has given us in the person of His Son Jesus Christ, and learn how to live a life that is honoring to Him.

We will study the Bible together, seek to understand what was happening in the time it was written, and learn how to incorporate the timeless lessons it teaches into our lives today.

All we do will be based on what the Bible teaches and we will stand unapologetically for the truth that it proclaims.  The Bible is not about
cultural relevance it is about a loving God who, despite that fact that we His creation turned our backs on Him, loves us unconditionally and wants us to spend eternity with Him.  We can only do that through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Prayer is such an important part of our relationship with God that Jesus Himself taught us how to pray.  In the 6th chapter of Matthew Jesus spoke what would become known as the Lord’s Prayer.  We are also told in the Bible to pray continually. (I Thessalonians 5:17)  This does not mean we are to always be on our knees with our hands folded and our eyes closed…especially when driving.  What it does mean is that we should
always be in an attitude of prayer seeking God and giving thanks to Him no matter what we are doing throughout the course of the day.

Prayer changes things!  We believe that God is greater than anything we
have to deal with in our lives and it is through the cries of our hearts, our petitions and our prayers of praise that we draw the closest to our Heavenly Father.

As we grow together at Remnant Life Church, the worship we offer to God, the truth of His Word and the power of prayer will lead us to become what God wants us to be.  The deepest cry of our heart is that each person who comes to worship with us will leave every Sunday different than how they came in because of an encounter with God in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ.
