Statement of Faith

Our desire at Remnant Life Church is to bring the lost to Jesus Christ and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
bring them into the realization of their calling. We are fully committed to see the body of Christ healed through the
operation of the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.  It is our mission at Remnant Life Church to see the hurt and
wounded children of God edified, encouraged, healed and finally, restored to the body.  We are surrendered to the
authority of our Lord Jesus Christ in order that we may come to a level of faith that will produce fruit for His Glory
and to His Honor.

We believe:

God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit working in perfect unison as one God.  We believe that Jesus is the one and only begotten Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary.  We believe He died to redeem us from the power and authority of sin and to establish His Kingdom on earth.  We believe He will return to claim His Bride and to judge the world. We believe that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Heb. 13:8)  We believe that first and foremost, it is essential to show love to one another as commanded by God. (Matthew 22:34-40)

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Person of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead or Trinity.  We believe the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth, power, wisdom, discernment and knowledge.  (Acts 1:8)  We believe in the operation of the nine gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1-11) and nine fruits (Galatians 5:22-23) of the Holy Spirit in our daily walk as described in the New Testament. We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and is received into the life of a person upon surrendering their life to Jesus.

The Holy Bible

We believe the Word of God as the absolute authority.  We believe the Word of God is indisputable and infallible.  We believe the scriptures were written with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through man. We believe that God speaks to us in and through His Word.  We do not accept any doctrine which contradicts the Holy Scripture.  We believe that the Bible represents God’s testimony to man. We do not believe that any other writings carry the same authority as the Scriptures in the Word of God.  We do not believe in anything that sets itself up against the knowledge and Will of God presented in the Scriptures.

Sin

We believe that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for the forgiveness of sins. (Roman 3:23, 1 John 1:9)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the eternal body of Christ comprised of those who have made Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of their lives and have accepted His work of the atonement. We believe in the gathering of believers for the purpose of teaching, healing, evangelism, and edification.  We believe in the resurrection of the believers in Christ, the final judgment, and the eternal blessing of the righteous, as well as eternal suffering for the wicked. Only those who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior are members of the Body of Christ and will spend eternity with Christ.

Water Baptism
We believe in the ordinance of baptism by immersion and that all who repent should be baptized in obedience to the Word of God and in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe that once you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, baptism is a personal and public profession and statement of your faith in Jesus Christ.

On the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an additional impartation of the Holy Spirit to impart power to the believer.  We believe that gifts of the Spirit can manifest through this baptism, such as prophecy or speaking in tongues but we also believe it is not essential for salvation.  We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers.  The gift of baptism should be distinguished from being filled with the Holy Spirit as written in the book of Acts.  As believers are baptized in the Holy Spirit, they should take on the very nature and fruit of God.

On The Second Coming

We believe in the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ.  First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, for Jesus to reign on the earth a thousand years.

Prayer and Praise

We believe in the praise and worship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through prayer, singing, the raising of hands, and other manifestations of worship such as dancing, clapping of hands or rising of banners.
